Fort George Colossal Event






In Historic Scotland’s largest event of 2010, hundreds of performers travelled from all over Britain to the impressive military fortification of Fort George.

Commencing with a grand parade into the central arena, the day unfolded with a series of exciting, informative, impressive and interactive shows, displays and presentations covering everything from the marching soldiers of the Roman period to the fighting troops of the twentieth century.

Noisettes


The Noisettes set the tone at HMV Picture House in Edinburgh last night for the first of two Russian Standard Vodka Originals gigs where fans enjoyed a free concert.

And the winner is...


Kenya's Florence Kiplagat takes first place at the Bupa Great Edinburgh Run on Sunday with a personal best time of 32:10. Kiplagat was one of 10,000 runners taking part in the 10k race which this year had a new starting venue of Holyrood Park with part of the course going through the grounds of the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

Having a Ball


Primary Six teacher Graham Mackay Bruce and professional singer Ceri-Ann Gregory brought the house down at the recent Erskine Stewart's Melville Schools Homecoming Ball at the Shearton Hotel. This is the second year I have photographed the fundraiser which aims provide life changing bursaries fo children from all backgrounds.
